Launcher Apps
The launcher app is just that! It is an application that helps clear all the shortcuts from the desktop. There are many launcher apps out there on the web. But this one is specifically for my own computer. Also, it is setup by different projects I have. So that if it is Perl programming projects then everything on a page is only having to do with Perl projects. A button can open a folder, an application, file or internet web page. So every page has to do with particular project that I work with and is only particular to my projects.
I have also made a launcher app for my project managers at work. This app opens folders, and mapped drives that they use regularly. All they have to do is open a folder that they use on a regular basis and then work with it. There is no shortcuts on their desktops and they don't have to fumble to find where they need to go to get work done that slows them down. They just click a button and work with things. The idea is to save time and make them more productive.
These personal launcher apps save me so much time and desktop space. It makes me so much more productive and I can switch back an forth between projects. This saves time and money. I can open applications and folders and just get going.
Eckankar Launcher app
This picture says it all. It is an app that members can have on their desktop that they can launch and access the Eckankar.org site and its features! Eventually there will be other features added to the app. This was not accepted by Eckankar without additional features added. But may in the future. There were features that were requested by Eckankar technology eckists. So will work on these and resubmit. This project started in 2006. Need to finish it!
